Summer Enrichment: Mobile Apps using App Inventor- Description
- This course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of programming mobile apps. We will be mostly using SNAP visual programming language to do this; so no experience is required. The apps we write will be for the Android platform. If you have an Android phone, please bring it to class. If not, we will have some tablets for classroom use.
This is a fast paced introductory course meant to expose you to the basics of writing apps. You will write a variety of apps that are assigned in class as well as be able to design your own app. Most of the work will be done in class. Learning to interface with technology via apps requires a fair amount of trial-and-error iterations. Be prepared to be patient, persistent, and inquisitive, and most importantly – be willing to put forth your best effort and have fun!
