TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM
The GATE Parents Group is proud to offer grants to San Mateo Union High School District teachers who directly affect the enrichment of GATE students. Grants of up to $1,200 will be awarded based on project originality and the number of GATE students affected by the project. Preference will be given to innovative learning projects over requests for equipment. Projects that can be piloted in other schools and/or classrooms are of particular interest to the program.
Grant Criteria
The Gate Parent’s Group will fund projects based on the following
criteria:
- The project should be innovative.
- A large number or percentage of GATE students should be served
by the project.
- Can the project be replicated in other schools if it is successful?
- Students are provided an experience that enriches their learning.
- The application was filled out completely.
