Virtual Space is limited.
The change in testing requirements alters the balance of how colleges review application information. Given the change, Essays will play a vital role in the college admission process. This GATE Parents Group-sponsored class is tailored to support students addressing UC and Common Application Essay prompts and the development of quality drafts for essay/personal statements. Priority enrollment will be given to seniors. All sessions for this course are held virtually. Each class has a required minimum number of enrollment policy. If the minimum class size is not met, the class may be canceled and a full refund provided.
Comprehensive Review Process:
The instructor will review the academic transcripts, test scores and student resume in conjunction with the student’s intended college and major selections. Additionally, the instructor will review the student applicant's academic and participation record to help craft an application essay that will complement the application and communicate student passion, need, or any other critical information to the application reader.
